Many of you got to experience Austin’s spur of the moment purchase on EBAY, the big red fire engine.
If you didn’t get a chance it is now too late.
Even though it was a lot fun cruising down Atlantic Avenue in a 20,000 lb bright red fire engine it probably wasn’t the most practical choice for a delivery vehicle. The lights and sirens made deliveries easier and faster but the up keep on the vehicle was too costly and time consuming.
We actually found someone that deals specifically in rescue vehicles in Illinois that had a buyer that was interested in purchasing her. Don’t ask Austin what was involved in getting it sold though…he may punch you. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity and let her go but it wasn’t long that Austin replaced her with his new project.
Austin found the car he has always dreamed about in Ohio. She is a 1951 Ford 2 door. They call it a shoebox. It does have some worked done to her like a new Chevy 350 motor & transmission, a nova front end, and new air bag suspension but she still needs a little work. Soon you will see Austin cruising the strip with his 1951 Ford. Granted she is not as noticeable as the huge red fire engine but that might be a good thing.
