Austin is still coming up with his crazy colored resin tailblocks. Not only does it look sweet but it protects the tail from damage. Austin has one on his 10 Soul Glide. One day I saw him put the board in his VW van after a surf session and slam the back hatch on the van. Unfortunately he hadn’t pushed his board far enough into the van so the lid slammed onto the tail of his board. The only thing we noticed was that the tail of his board cut through the thick carpet on the lid of the van. That convienced me it wasn’t just for show.
