BOARD RULES

While we really have no control over what will happen to the Stoke Transmission Device, keep in mind that this board does belong to Pat from NJ.  At some point it does need to end back up to him as he is the rightful owner. This is a social experiment in sharing the stoke of surfing. Please keep a careful eye on the board so that it doesn't get lost or stolen.  If the board disappears, the fun is over.

Keep the board with the supplied board bag. Make sure you sign the outside of the board bag with the supplied sharpie too!

Make a log in the wave log book included in the board bag and leave the wave log with the board.  If the wave log book is almost full (less than 10 sheets), email Pat at wagoon@aol.com and a new book will be sent out.

Post your story to the blog by emailing stoketransmissiondevice@austinsurfboards.com.  Feel free to include photos.

If you ding the board, you gotta get it fixed quickly. No slapping duct tape on it and paddling back out. If you can’t do a decent ding repair yourself, find someone who can. We don’t want to see the board come back waterlogged with a bunch of horrible repairs.  Also, please email us pictures and stories so that we can post those on our Ding Report page.

Take a sticker from the board bag, but do not take all of them. If you run out of stickers, please contact Austin@austinsurfboards.com for a refill for the board bag so that others can have some.

After you have ridden the board and are ready to pass it on to its next carrier, please get that person's name, email address, and telephone number. Forward that information to Pat at wagoon@aol.com.  This will help keep track the board’s location.  Try to only pass the board along to a friend, or “a friend of a friend”.  You know, someone you could track down if you had to.  Feel free to let complete strangers use the board under your supervision, but keep an eye on them.

All additional questions in relation to the rules of the board should be forwarded to Pat at wagoon@aol.com.
